Successfully established in October 2022 with generous funding from the U.S. Department of State, American Corner in Irbid is a thriving hub for educational and cultural outreach which helps English learners further their communication skills.
The Tawahudna Project is funded by private donors and is designed to support caregivers of children with Autism Spectrum Disorder (ASD) by providing awareness and capacity-building sessions that apply evidence-based care practices to everyday Jordanian life.
Funded by the U.S. Department of State, the Ra’ed STEM educational community development project is designed to empower young female students from public schools in Irbid with confidence, inspiration, and hands-on STEM skills for life-long learning.
Refresh is a fitness club that cultivates physical and social well-being among low-income women by providing them with group fitness classes and women’s health and psychosocial support and educational training.
The Access Program has been running in Jordan by WA since 2011 with generous funding by the U.S. Department of State. Access teaches conversational English while giving students opportunities to learn and practice leadership skills.
Al Waha is funded by private donors and is designed to foster psychosocial support and basic health literacy by equipping women with the tools and knowledge they need to improve their overall wellbeing.
Since 2007, this program has offered high-quality, hands-on, English language instruction over a period of six weeks per term to adults in Aqaba. Taught partly by native English language speakers, the program is widely-valued within the community.
This handicraft project creates physical and social beauty by recycling local, discarded materials and employing at-risk women in Aqaba. It has been a stabilizing factor for these artisans and their families since 2011.
The Disah English Assistance Program has various facets. Program team partners with the local communities to improve livelihoods through providing English training tailored for men who work in the tourism industry and for boys who may pursue advanced education.
